2022 Salt Lake Parade - The Breakdown
William here with Michaelis Homes thinking through this debrief of the 2022 Salt Lake Parade of Homes. This was our first year to enter and the months leading up to our entry was exhilarating. We bought the property in Cottonwood Heights because of its panoramic views and stellar bones. Ashley ran with this project as lead designer, and let us tell you, the vision it took to make this a home that feels comfortable and desirable is nothing less than spectacular.
After we took the house down to its studs, our craftsmen came in to renovate this stunning split level. Yes, you read that right, stunning split level. As soon as you step through our oversized-modern pink door your opinion will mirror ours. A reconfigured entry made this home feel welcoming - the split level inviting you to an open floor plan in both the main living area and basement. All new trusses, electric, HVAC, and plumbing form the lifeblood of this 1970s renovation. New steel and laminate beams supplement the existing skeleton to our 3300 square foot build.
As for the Parade, over 5500 people walked through our front door. We were rewarded for our design and build by sweeping the remodel category awards that included Best Craftsmanship, Best Interior, and Curb Appeal. We were so honored at the award dinner hosted by the Salt Lake Home Builders Association. The remodel category was called first and as they announced our win a collective humbled breath released from our team and formed into a broad smile. Sean and Ashley stood and hugged while walking toward the stage to collect. It was a big, beautiful moment for our young company.
This was the culmination of years of hard work building a business, hiring and leading the right people, and several months working on The Crestwood Remodel project. We are grateful to be so honored. We are humbled to be growing. We are excited for what the future holds.
